The Dunk

I started doing a hot and cold water dunk for my swollen hand joints. It works really well for me.
I just use the kitchen sink as we don’t have dual sinks in our bathroom at this rental house.
Make the cold water icy and the hot water hot, but not scalding, and go between the two submerging your hands up past the wrist for as long as it is comfortable. I usually do cold to hot. I usually do this about 3 or 4 times a few times a day.

Spinach and Bacon Ends

Sunday we made baby spinach cooked in bacon ends for lunch. Needless to say my hubby liked it..It had bacon in it 🙂
We needed way more spinach though…I would say 3-4 times more spinach than we had..
Cook up the bacon until it is crunchy….then drain the excess grease..( lesson learned :))
add some garlic..then dump in the spinach and cook a few minutes until it is wilted…
Don’t put a lid on or it will make the spinach taste metallic..Splash some vinegar of your choice in and some salt and pepper (depending on your bacon ends)..mush around..and walla..NOMNOMNOM

I can’t imagine why people in pain would be pushing to making medical marijuana legal.
Last I checked part of his job is to listen to his constituents..

Heating Pad Heaven

Anyone with RA knows how nice heat feels wrapped around achey joints..

I went through a bunch of heating pads until I found the Sunbeam Xpress.

It doesn’t have the cruddy plastic insert so it stays soft and you can wrap it around the body parts that hurt without any issues..

I hate those cheapie ones..The plastic gets all bent and it is NOT comfy..

I had looked into the heating packs before, but I stopped using a microwave so they are pretty useless for me now..

Love this one..! 🙂
